About BBA in Retail Operations (With Paid Apprenticeship)
The learner develops an operations retail plan to show the processes of successfully managing and merchandising a retail business, including purchasing, product merchandising, pricing, operations, buying, and managing retail employees. The core focus of the program is Skill Development, and hence nearly 60% of the program component & duration constitutes On-the-Job Training in the form of Industry Apprenticeship.
BBA Retail Operations With RASCI and Reliance Retail
3-Year BBA in Retail Operations offers a direct gateway to the industry with mandatory practical exposure in retail stores and employee retention design. Students selected for the program will get stipends from industry partners since the beginning of the program.
The program curriculum has been designed as per the Model Curriculum released by Retailers’ Association Skill Council of India (RASCI), Mumbai, and leading retail company: Reliance Retail Limited.

Course Scope
- As the global market is expanding every day, new products are included each day, the competition is getting higher every day. In this scenario, there is a high demand for individuals with a degree and knowledge of retail management as they are the ones who can let the company sail without a single loss in the market.
- The job of lecturer/teacher in several universities and colleges after attaining higher qualifications is always an open option for the graduates after the completion of the course.

Teaching Days
In this curriculum, all the courses scheduled in the teaching days are assessed by the institution. The assessment system (Continuous internal assessment, end semester examination and the question paper pattern) for these courses shall be as per the norms, standards and practices as per the institution. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are considered as Teaching days.
Apprenticeship Days
OJT scheduled in this semester will be delivered and assessed by RASCI. Friday, Saturday and Sunday considered as Apprenticeship days.
OJT: Credit & Marks Allotment
OJT Examination Evaluation for Semester will be done by RASCI & the Employer. Credits offered will be as under.

Learners have to compulsorily pass the requirements of OJT in each semester.
Learners will be allowed carry ATKT in 1 Core Paper (Theory) in each semester. Subject to maximum of 2 ATKT in each year. Cross ATKT learners will be not be eligible for admission Semester 5.
Assessment criteria/outcome by RASCI for OJT
- The Students will be evaluated for 400 marks per semester.
- The Students will be evaluated based on the performance criteria defined under the Assessment criteria table in the syllabus documents.
- The learning & Training outcomes of the apprenticeship training are also based on the performance criteria defined under the Assessment Criteria table.
- Each performance criteria have a portion of theory marks and practical (in the form of OJT) marks
- The marks scored by the students may be scaled / extrapolated in proportion to match the overall marks defined in the Assessment Criteria table
- The assessment for OJT / Practical Training / Apprenticeship will be conducted by the Industry Partner providing the apprenticeship training.
- The assessment method will be aligned with the organisation’s internal employee / apprentice performance assessment practices followed by them.
- The assessment will be conducted on the assessment platform adapted by the organisation
- The supervisor / manager of the apprentice or any certified skill assessment practitioner nominated by RASCI / Organisation will conduct the apprenticeship assessments.
- The marking, rubrics and tabulated on a digital platform
- The marks of such assessment will be shared with the college to be included in the marks statement of the student
- A sample rubric of such assessment is embedded for your reference. It is to be viewed as an indicating sample only and not the actual rubric.
A certificate at NSQF Level 5 Qualifying the candidate as a Retail Team Leader will be awarded to all the successful students at the end of VI Semester by RASCI.
